This week's music class with @kayla.music.therapy

This week's music class with @kayla.music.therapy was all about water. Songs about rain, songs about the ocean, and songs about water in all its forms.

Our babies love their weekly music class. Thank you, Kayla, for the joy you bring into the house each week.

If you run a baby or child stimulation class or business, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for people willing to volunteer a weekly session for our babies. Stimulation matters so much at this age, and the more our little ones get to explore through music, movement, play and new activities, the better. If you have time to give, please get in touch.

When we need an extra pair of hands at Daybreak Ho

When we need an extra pair of hands at Daybreak House, we can count on Ellie!

She is the kind of person you lean on without even thinking about it, because she is always ready to help. Steady, fair, dependable. She works hard and she loves deeply, and her faith is not something she keeps to herself. Ellie shares it openly, speaks it boldly, and the staff at Daybreak House are wiser and stronger for it. She is a friend and a voice of wisdom to those who work with her.

Proverbs 11:25 says a generous person will prosper, and whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. That is our Ellie!

Happy birthday, Ellie. We love you!

On Spring Day our friends from Chas Everitt Pretor

On Spring Day our friends from Chas Everitt Pretoria arrived at Daybreak with a celebration for our staff.

Nicola and Marilize arranged the day and brought a good part of their team along, together with Snyman en De Jager, Weavind and Weavind, and Arno Viljoen.

Not only did they bring loads of donations for the babies but also a care package for every staff member, put together with items contributed by all of them, along with Arrie Nel Pharmacies. Boerewors rolls were made on the spot, and with chippies and cold drinks we had a lovely party with the children, staff and management all together.

Our staff work hard and it was wonderful to see them treated and celebrated like this.

Thank you!!!

It's someone special's birthday!

You never have to ask Ester something twice. Chances are, she has already done it.
She moves quietly through the house, always smiling, always friendly, getting on with the work because that is simply who she is. No fuss, just faithful, steady care, day after day.

We are grateful for people like Ester. She is a reminder that sometimes the most powerful presence in a room is also the gentlest one.

Happy birthday, Ester. We see you, and we celebrate you today. 🎂

There is always laughter when Penny is around, and we are pretty sure our babies know exactly who is responsible for it.

Penny, God knew this house needed someone who could make a room full of tiny people break into the biggest smiles, and He sent us you. Your joy is contagious and your sense of humour is something we genuinely could not do without.

Happy birthday to the funniest person in the house. We love you! 🎂🎉
